"Mediocrity will not suffice!!!  It is time to live as heroic Catholic families and individuals!" Rebecca Dussault

The Essence of Who I Am-

"I would be remiss if I didn't share with all of you my truest love of all, the Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church. My faith is the most important thing in my life. It is the only thing which I can not be parted from and is what gives me hope. He is the lover of my soul and my secret hiding place. I will be restless until I rest in Him."

  • "If sport and exercise do not serve the soul and God, they are a useless movement of the body and a fleeting pleasure."  Robert Feeney- The Catholic Ideal: Exercise and Sports

  • “Now what is the purpose and object of sport, understood in a healthy and Christian sense, if not to cultivate the dignity and harmony of the human body, to develop its health, strength, agility and grace?”
Robert Feeney- The Catholic Ideal: Exercise and Sports

  • “The devil strains every nerve to secure the souls which belong to Christ. We should not grudge our toil in wrestling them from Satan and giving them back to God."
             St. Sebastian- Patron of Athletes

  • "If morality requires respect for the life of the body, it                     does not make it an absolute value.  It rejects a neo-pagan notion that tends to promote the cult of the body, to sacrifice everything for its sake, to idolize physical perfection and success at sports."  Catechism paragraph 2289

  • "Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but only one receives the prize. So run that you may attain it."  Saint Paul 1 Cor 9:24
  • “To live without faith, without a patrimony to defend, without a steady struggle for truth, that is not living, but merely existing; we must never just "exist". Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati

"Precisely because your competing does not take place for the sake of mere and superficial amusement, but to give proof of your ability and of what fruits a long and arduous preparation may yield, sporting effort is a real school of virtue, of which the ancient biblical book of wisdom writes:

"When it is present, they imitate it, and they long for it when it as gone; and throughout all time it marches crowned in triumph, victory in the contest for prizes that are undefiled. "

And when it is practiced at the international level, then it becomes a propitious element to overcome multiple barriers, in such a way as to reveal and strengthen the unity of the human family, beyond all differences of race, culture, politics of religion."
Pope John Paul II
